Teej Festival was celebrated on 11.08.2018 at Darrick International Senior
Secondary School, Banga . All the students from Pre-wing to Class 12th
were dressed in traditional Punjabi Attire.
Inter Club House
competitions were organized on the theme of “Teej”. Students were in captivated
mood and decorated the four corners of the school to reflect the image of
Punjabi culture. Pupils conferred
Punjabi folk songs, Bhangra, Giddha. The musical performance given by the girls
& song touched the heart of everyone present there. Jury was set to
ask the different questions from girls regarding the traditional objects,
accessories, rituals and on the basis of their scores they were chosen as Best Performer,
Best Attire, Ms. Teej & various other positions from the participated four
groups, they were awarded & given sashes by the School Management & the
Principal.
At the end, revered
Principal, Mrs Neena Bhardwaj congratulated to the all members of the school
& appreciated the efforts of students and teachers. She conveyed her
gratitude towards the parents as well for their co-operation. In her address
she talked about the significance of celebrating such festivals and to aware
the students about the culture, traditions & values.
