“To
me, art begets art. Painting feeds the eye just as poetry feeds the ear, which
is to say that both feed the soul.”
Darrick International School, Banga organised
a rhyme competition for the pre-wing section in which the tiny tots
participated with great fervour and excitement. The competition consisted of
two rounds, with the pupils who advanced from the first round continuing on to
the second round and receiving praise for their endearing performances. The
little ones participated with all their usual enthusiasm, reciting a wide
variety of poems like Teddy bear, Little Miss Muffet, Incy Wincy Spider, Rain
rain, etc. Their voice modulation and expressions were commendable.
In her speech to the audience, the Hon’ble principal,
Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj, praised the kids' efforts for their amazing rhyming
performance since it instills in them with self-confidence and encourages them
to value themselves. She continued by saying that poems are an excellent way
for someone to express their daily feelings in an expressive manner. She
complimented and congratulated everyone who helped the little ones get on this
stage, including the teachers, parents, and students. A special thanks to the
parents was conveyed for preparing the kids in a gracious manner. Recitation is
beneficial for children because it helps improve their pronunciation, diction,
and public speaking skills. Additionally, it also helps them to gain
confidence. The winners are:
