Annual Day Celebrations



Darrick International School, Banga celebrated its Annual Day & Adventure Activities amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation on 3rd November, 2018 i.e. Saturday in the School Campus. Ms. Deep Shikha Sharma, IAS, SDM Banga, SBS Nagar was the Hon’ble Chief Guest & Dr. Pavitar Prakash Singh (HOS) School of Journalism, Film & Creative Arts & School of Design-III, School of Social Sciences & Languages, School of Education, LPU was the Esteemed Guest of Honour on this occasion. Revered Principal, Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj, School Management and members of the student’s council welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and all other dignitaries. This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges and welcome by the Darrickians. The programme commenced with the Welcome Song & lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest & Guest of Honour escorted by the Hon’ble Management Members P. Kumari, Chairperson, Mr. Devki Nandan alias King, CEO, & Pooja Bhargav, Treasurer. Thereafter, esteemed Principal Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj, introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest to the audience. She shared the School’s Achievements with the audience. She expressed achievements & Initiatives:- Best School Awards by Indian School Awards 2017 Powered by Robo Champs & presented by the Times of India in Chandigarh, 100 Favourite School Awards out of 650 nominees at Indian School Awards 2018 held at Chitkara University, Progressive Principal of the Year Awarded by Centre of Education, Special Principal Recognition Awarded by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University at Indian School Awards 2018, Inspiring Educators of Punjab, Dr. A. P .J. Abdul Kalam Award (Educator conclave award), School awarded as Best Facility per Resources by Indian School Awards 2018, Darrick international school ranks among top schools of the country, Innovation in School Education Awarded by the Yes Bank , Great Initiatives by the Darrick International School, Banga to Launch District’s first Robotics Research Center by Mst. Kautilya Pandit The, Google Boy of India, Abacus was introduced as regular feature in the school, Participation in Biggest Robotic Class Room and by the Darrickians. Miss. Davinder Kaur got cash prize Rs. 60,000 under Govt. of India Scholarship Scheme. It was a matter of pride not only for the school but also for all the students of the school to attain more achievements in the field of education. Thereafter, Cultural performance commenced by Tiny Tots of Pre-wing. The Function followed by the Prize Distribution where the Guest of Honour gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school. People enjoyed the function theme based on Universally brotherhood, the Dances based on Glimpses of India was an energetic performance by the Darrickians, the ebullient students of the school presented a message oriented Show. Thereafter, a Group Song based on the theme ‘Unity in diversity’ was a soul stirring depiction of the fact that all good deeds in this world. On this special day Darrick International School, Banga launched its Connection - 2018 by the Hon’ble Guests, Esteemed Guest of Honour, all dignitaries, Management Members & Respected Principal On this special day Adventures Activities were also organized for the Parents & students. The special features of the Kids Carnival were Bouncy, Portrait, Artiest Interactive Games, Face Painting, Tattoo Making, Magic Show, Puppet Show, , Gun Shoot to Balloon Games, Matka Game, Toss the Ring, Dart Game, Photo Booth, Trampoline, Live Ludo, Hoola Hups, Cartoon Character, Ring the Arrow & Anchor “Vikas Mongia” engaged the participated members and all audience etc. Children rejoiced the whole day with utmost ecstasy. The Hon’ble Chief Guest was superlative in her appreciation of the students, teachers and Management for a wonderful programme presented. She stated that she felt highly honoured and elated to have visited Darrick International School, Banga. She urged students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials not only carve a niche for themselves or bring laurels to school but also aim to bring glory to their state as well as their nation. The Chief Guest stated Education or success, she opined, was incomplete or futile without keeping in view the goal of serving one’s country never being oblivious of the fact that ‘Our motherland is better than heaven’ and gave away the prize to the meritorious students Miss. The Esteemed Guest of Honour’s Dr. Pavitar Prakash Singh, HOS School of Journalism, Film & Creative Arts & School of Design-III, School of Social Sciences & Languages, School of Education, LPU stated that he was very happy to note that Darrick International School, Banga motivates its students by felicitating them as this serves as an impetus to their stellar performance, consistently. He advised students never to forget their school, which makes them what they are and their parents who make relentless efforts for them to be educated and groomed in a school like Darrick International School, Banga and feel proud on their children’s achievements The Vote of thanks was presented by Revered Principal, Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj and She lauded the vision and the relentless hard work done by students and their mentors for presenting such oriented programme. A student is a celebrity while he performs in his school and one must appreciate the glory of their celebration. She urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements more than criticize them, as appreciation gives them indomitable strength to face the world as its only school where children can make mistakes, freely learn from them and improve as well to become exemplary and She expressed her heartiest gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Parents, School Management for their Guidance & unconditional support, all dignitaries, Press Media, and also conveyed thanks to the staff members for their efforts who made the event a grand success. At the end Function culminated with the School Anthem & National Anthem.
